Rainbow Brite CD Review & Giveaway (9 Winners)

When I think about the toys from my childhood duirng the 80s, I think about Cabbage Patch Dolls (which hit the shelves when I was in 1st grade), Pound Puppies, Popples, Teddy Ruxpin (the talking bear), Care Bears, My Little Pony, Strawberry Shortcake, and Rainbow Brite.  While Cabbage Patch Dolls are still popular even after 25 years, others like Pound Puppies have disappeared and others such as Strawberry Shortcake have been updated and are making a comeback.  Rainbow Brite is also back.

When I was contacted by MomSelect about recieving a Rainbow Brite CD Pack to review and giveaway, I was excited to see my old friend.  The futuristic looking cherubic girl from my childhood has been updated to resemble a futuristic looking Bratz doll.  She's older, thinner, and possess more style than the Rainbow Brite of my youth.  Moonglow and Tickled Pink join Rainbow Brite on her new adventure along with Starlite and the sprites (who I adored as a child).

I put the CD on the computer to see how my two-year old would react to seeing Rainbow Brite in "Return to Rainbow Land".  She was entranced.  The CD has puzzles, a theme song sing-a-long, a picture maker (with pictures that your little ones can create and print), a game, and coloring pages.

According to the Hallmark website, the Rainbow Brite dolls are available at Target and are coming soon to Toys R Us.
