I had to find the perfect gift, cook the perfect meal, and be the perfect host but after having kids that all changed. It had to. I get grouchy when I get stressed and I realized that you can't have it all so we have scaled back.

We still decorate at the holidays and cook dinner for family and exchange presents with friends and family but I try to do as much ahead of time as possible and when I am done, I am done (in regards to shopping). Sometimes I find that my first instinct for gifts is the right one (kind of like when they tell you to pick the answer that is your first guess on a test) and sometimes I find that I was way off (and then out comes the gift receipt).Joy@TPMGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13125789776241250430noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1052527382100903498.post-50603482542638071842010-10-27T21:08:44.364-04:002010-10-27T21:08:44.364-04:00Good for you!

I'm a perfectionist too - so I try to get the house looking good at least. And then I put my mom and husband to work. :)Tarjahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11602322797314516728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1052527382100903498.post-47280511531484499582010-10-27T15:27:52.489-04:002010-10-27T15:27:52.489-04:00First, that's so cool to be part of that.
